PCT-Pressure Cooker Test Chamber

PCT-Pressure Cooker Test Chamber

PCT-Pressure Cooker Test Chamber This method is used for moisture resistance evaluation and robustness testing, aiming to assess the moisture resistance of non-hermetic packaged solid-state components under controlled humidity conditions (both compressed and saturated humidity). It accelerates moisture penetration through the package materials (such as the encapsulating resin and chip passivation layer) or at the interface between the chip, leadframe, and metallization layers under high pressure and high humidity, thus identifying potential failure mechanisms within the package.

Test standard

GB/T10586-1989    Technical Requirements for Humidity Test Chambers
GB2423.3-93 (IEC68-2-3)   Constant Humidity Test
